I was going to buy web design for dumbies but they have like 100 books and I am confused which one I should get. They have web pages, this and that. Please help. I want a referance to really learn it all on my own. Thanks..
What is a good book for someone trying to learn web design?
Check out http://boogiejack.com/
And if you must have a book, the author of the boogiejack site (Dennis Gaskill) has published one called Web Site Design Made Easy, that's very good, and easy to follow (and it's spiral-bound, which makes it a lot easier to keep it open while typing).
Reply:Check out www.w3schools.com.
Reply:try www.w3schools.com/ orwww.killersites.com. www.pageresource.com/ and www.how-to-build-websites.com/ are also very good website design begginner and advanced tutorials and reading sections so try them.
Reply:Start out by going to http://www.w3schools.com. You can learn HTML, XHTML, and CSS for free through lots of tutorials and examples. Then by building your web design knowledge base you will have a better idea of what to look for.
Reply:Don't waste money on books or anything like that at least not now. The above posted site is a great reference, but if you want someone to really explain it to you, try:
http://www.2createawebsite.com/index.htm...
I know the owner of this site and she breaks it down AMAZINGLY.
She also has lots of free videos, free ebooks, and lots of step by steps.
Hope this helps! :-)
