What do you think I should name my new web design business?

Do I HAVE TO use the word "design" in the name?





Also, do you think if I used something like "eagle designs" it would make sense?





Or, should I stick with something like "web site design company"? You know, something generic?

unless you have millions of dollars to brand your name to make it


known you need to tell your clients what you do.

Reply:I think you should just look for a name that you really like. If you feel good at it, the rest of ppl will feel it as well!!
Reply:No you don't have to use the word design in the name. Your company name will actually be constrained by the availability of a suitable domain name. A web site is obviously so important. Many design companies have unusual names.





Go to an appropiate web site and look for recently exoired web sites - just put that phrase into Yahoo and you will find some.





Make it as short as possible - catchy and descriptive if you can. A memorable name is very important in such a busy market.

Being called XYZ Web Design, may restrict your activities to doing just design... do you do web development as well? ie. the actual building of the web sites?





I have a web *development* company that always carries out the design and build of a web site, so i just used a "strap line" under my business name (not my real business name)
