How long does it take to build a web design business?

I want to take some classes to learn about the programming. I dont have a degree and need to change careers rather fast. I would start doing it on the side until I can build up and have my own business. Once I have taken the necessary classes, how long does it take to build a business if you hustle?

Reply:My advise to you is to team up with a graphic designer to make visual appealing looking sites, so that all you have to worry about is the programming part, also make sure you hand code all your work, is way better(but slower) than using generated code like the one that Dreamweaver writtes for you.It will make you less "application-dependent".


Learn quickly from your mistakes, and ask questions in forurms and also ask to any experienced programmer that you may know.


As you can see no one can give you and exact or approximate time for you to build a bussiness site, I´ve been developing websites for 5 years and some time takes me weeks to finish a project..
