How much do you make on average per page for web design?

How long does it take to build one page once you get the hang of it?

How much do you make on average per page for web design?
Depends entirely on the complexity and functionality of the web page. The presentation layer (what the users see) layout is a minor component of the development costs of pages that deliver data driven content. But for simple static display pages, you can expect to charge/pay $25 - $100 per page, depending on how many nav links and images it contains.
Reply:Depends on how well you know the program you are using. I use Dreamweaver and it's pretty easy. Once you get the HOME page or (index.htm) page done then all you have to do is keep using that page for all your other pages. For instance, replace your home page info with let's say your "contact info". Once you have replaced that information, all you have to do is "save it / re-name it" as something else like "contact.htm" and that's all. NOW, you not only have your "home page" but, now you have your "contact us" page. This way, the site is uniform and makes your design process much faster then having to create each individual page by scratch. You could also use TEMPLATES which means the pages are already created for you and all you have to do is put in your own information. There are MANY templates out there some are even FREE.... go to this site, there are many nice ones there... http://www.interspire.com/templates/ if you do a search for FREE WEBSITE TEMPLATES, you'll find a bunch but, I like the ones on this page inparticular. Hope that helps you! ALSO, if you are questioning how much to charge for webdesign etc. That is hard to say because it depends on how complex the site is, what kind of site it is (basic info, data base drivin, e-commerce etc) and how long it will take to complete it. I recently had a client who was quoted $3,000 for a 5 page (informational) site which I think was alot for what he wanted..... I charged him less and got the job!! :) Sorry I cant give you an exact price. Here is an article I found that may help you... http://webdesign.about.com/cs/salaries/a...

Hope that helps!
