Why are my web design page's font alignments showing up perfect in mozilla and not right in Internet explorer?

I am using NVU. Dreamweaver had the same effect? How can I stop this from happening? The alignment has to be the same.

Keep in mind that CSS and HTML aren't really set in stone... it's really more like giving the web browser advice on how it SHOULD display the content.

You might want to try some trial-and-error. Skip NVU and Dreamweaver for now and design something ultra-simple using a text editor like notepad. Test each change you make in multiple browsers to see how it will look... FireFox, SeaMonkey, MSIE, Opera... Konqueror if you've got a Linux buddy handy.

You can also make use of online validation services to check that everything is up to par...
Reply:It really depends on how you're specifying your alignments; to which elements you've assigned the alignment rules.
Reply:because IE basically sucks,lol
Reply:I have the same problem, but opposite: in IE my website is perfect but with firefox it is not..... I use Frontpage, and it tells me that every browser's setup is different.... so sorry, I have no idea how to fix it.... hope someone else knows...
